The
best holiday I have ever had in my life would have to be when we went to Lombok
not so long ago. I was having my transition holiday from junior high into
senior high school and me and my family had plan this holiday since half a year
before we really went there.
We spent the holiday for three days
and two nights at Novotel Lombok, Lombok. We went with my father’s best friend’s
family. My dad’s friend has a wife and a son about my age so we spent quite a
lot time together at Lombok. It was the best holiday I have ever had because for
me, we spent the best days at Lombok. We went swimming, saw a lot of wonderful
views, go biking, enjoyed our time at the beach and swimming at the sea, and also
I had my first experience of seeing the stars and the moon shining so brightly
at the night sky of Lombok. At Lombok, there weren’t as many lights as Jakarta;
so we can still see the stars clearly. I have fallen in love with that view
since the first night we were there as I lay my head down on the sandy beach.
Besides the cool thing I have done,
I also had a heart journey as we went on go-sees at Lombok. I saw a lot of poor
kids living there without having good food to eat while they have to work at
such a young age for their living. Many adults also work outside the island and
leave their family, being an ‘exported worker’ for a different nationality boss
while our country can actually make a place for them to work. It’s a sad
situation but I did learn to see and feel with my heart there.
It was truly an experience I’ve had.
Besides the good stuff, I also learn some sad stuff. But so far, this holiday
to Lombok taught me to be more mature in my actions and the best holiday I have
ever had. Praise the Lord!!
