I'm a huge fan of someone. You might have guessed the person I loved from the title. Or maybe, you have known the person eversince you know me. There are of course many reasons of why people liked their idol; maybe because of their looks or whatever. But mine? It's a special case.
My idol, his name is ADAM LAMBERT. Familiar name, huh? He is the runner-up of American Idol season 8; just after Kris Allen was nominated to be the winner. He is, in fact, a gay.
GLAM is taken from his fanbase's name Adam made for himself, Glambert. He have had 3 albums so far: For Your Entertainment, Glamnation Live, and his most recent; Trespassing. He is already active since older times of his past, but was world widely known since his debut on American Idol.
Why do I still prefer Adam as my idol when I already know that he is a gay? Well...
1. I am already in love with his voice. I can't deny that fact. He is a natural born superstar. Everytime I listen a song in a store, I can instinctily recognize his voice. I have just loved it even though I have never seen him perform on stage of American Idol season 8.
2. His songs are in a word AMAZING. The way it tells a really meaningful message to everyone including me is the way he have taken my sympathy and felt really close to him as a fan. I felt that we feel the same way most of the times as a rebellious but wanting to work hard as ass to gain something we wanted. Again, he is AMAZING.
3. He is a gay. I appricate so much the fact that he embraces his status of a 'gay' without trying to hide it from anyone. I may not know how he have struggle upon himself in his daily life, but I do know that he did make everyone proud to see him today. If you have not known, he is the first openly gay artist. That is simply what took my greatest sympathy outta myself. He did work dat ass of.
I admire him, by a lot. He is an inspiration to me personally. Most of other people hated him because he is gay, and is somehow not 'worthy' of a fan being. At first, I taught of the same thing anyway. But I am happy that I finally found myself now lost here, in the same world of Glams.
The more I found myself wanting to understand my own weird life, I also finally know the essence of why I have liked Adam on the first place. His looks, his songs, his love, his passion, everything! He is so different that the word 'different' itself didn't seem to last anymore. I appriciated most of everything he has done. It happens like water flowing in the river: just like that. Hopefully, I am able to show my gratitude from what I can do best. Just sayin', by the way; we GLAM. -red •glow13productions•
