So. Good news and bad news (um, it’s 2 good newses if we
are to be in line with the positive vibe I’m currently in. But nay, the term
“good news and bad news” sounds so much better).
The good news is that I am upgrading my blog into a daily
instead of a weekly blog as I have been doing eversince 2013. It’s been 2 whole
years since I started doing weekly posts and I personally need a new challenge for
my personal writing experience and a daily writing sounds perfectly awesome.
The bad news is that I won’t be using this blog anymore.
It’s been 7 years of blogger, really. And 7 years of changing to only a few
different layouts in this blog is getting me nowhere – even if I hadn’t really
explore what other features blogger provides for its users (sorry, blogger!).
But thinking that I have used this media eversince 7th grade, I think this is
the right time for me to change the direction of my game and move out from
blogger. This place has been too comfortable for my writing needs and I can’t
grow any much bigger in this space blogger is providing. In fact, this post
serves as my last and closing post in this blog ever!
Oh, no no. Don’t be sad already. I’ve prepared for all of
you my lovely readers a better and bigger writing haven. It is still in the
cyberspace, and it’s called wordpress: the other blogging server nextdoor.
Honestly, getting into wordpress is like a dream come true for me. I have been
thinking (and wanting, obviously) about moving my writings to wordpress
eversince summer last year, but I didn’t actually do it for 2 reasons: 1) I
haven’t got the gut to do so and 2) because I haven’t find a good name for the
url I’ll use on wordpress (bikos nama glow13 udah ada yang ngambil) until just
recently. So I’m really excited for this.
Hopefully in wordpress you will not find anymore childish
posts except for my most famous love stories and some other mind-crazy
adventures as I’ve had here. Even though I‘ll miss it here in blogger as much
as it has seen me grow in my writing consistency and such, I’ll treat this
experience more like an upgrade which life finally grants me rather than a loss
I have to experience – this page isn’t going anywhere anyway if in any way we
both needed to look back to see where I came from. It is only a matter of time
too until you see my name in the shining lights of the writing-dom we writers
have always had in our heads. But until that day happens, I’ll be here;
creating some more great works worthy of your time to read.
Lastly, I just want to say thankyou for those who have
been with me through all of this. Thankyou to those who have never quit
visiting this page week after week after week. Thankyou for those of you who
are always telling me that I should keep writing and that I am actually good
enough of a writer to feel good about what I’m doing. And to those of you who
have just visited this page but being welcomed by a closing post instead, don’t
worry. I’ll redirect you to my new webpage which I have designed especially for
you. With that being said, I welcome you to the next phase of my writing life.
