IT’S TIME FOR UPGRADE!

So. Good news and bad news (um, it’s 2 good newses if we are to be in line with the positive vibe I’m currently in. But nay, the term “good news and bad news” sounds so much better).
The good news is that I am upgrading my blog into a daily instead of a weekly blog as I have been doing eversince 2013. It’s been 2 whole years since I started doing weekly posts and I personally need a new challenge for my personal writing experience and a daily writing sounds perfectly awesome.
The bad news is that I won’t be using this blog anymore. It’s been 7 years of blogger, really. And 7 years of changing to only a few different layouts in this blog is getting me nowhere – even if I hadn’t really explore what other features blogger provides for its users (sorry, blogger!). But thinking that I have used this media eversince 7th grade, I think this is the right time for me to change the direction of my game and move out from blogger. This place has been too comfortable for my writing needs and I can’t grow any much bigger in this space blogger is providing. In fact, this post serves as my last and closing post in this blog ever!
Oh, no no. Don’t be sad already. I’ve prepared for all of you my lovely readers a better and bigger writing haven. It is still in the cyberspace, and it’s called wordpress: the other blogging server nextdoor. Honestly, getting into wordpress is like a dream come true for me. I have been thinking (and wanting, obviously) about moving my writings to wordpress eversince summer last year, but I didn’t actually do it for 2 reasons: 1) I haven’t got the gut to do so and 2) because I haven’t find a good name for the url I’ll use on wordpress (bikos nama glow13 udah ada yang ngambil) until just recently. So I’m really excited for this.
Hopefully in wordpress you will not find anymore childish posts except for my most famous love stories and some other mind-crazy adventures as I’ve had here. Even though I‘ll miss it here in blogger as much as it has seen me grow in my writing consistency and such, I’ll treat this experience more like an upgrade which life finally grants me rather than a loss I have to experience – this page isn’t going anywhere anyway if in any way we both needed to look back to see where I came from. It is only a matter of time too until you see my name in the shining lights of the writing-dom we writers have always had in our heads. But until that day happens, I’ll be here; creating some more great works worthy of your time to read.
Lastly, I just want to say thankyou for those who have been with me through all of this. Thankyou to those who have never quit visiting this page week after week after week. Thankyou for those of you who are always telling me that I should keep writing and that I am actually good enough of a writer to feel good about what I’m doing. And to those of you who have just visited this page but being welcomed by a closing post instead, don’t worry. I’ll redirect you to my new webpage which I have designed especially for you. With that being said, I welcome you to the next phase of my writing life. Click the link below for more of what I’ll be and see you there. –red

2015 RECAP

2015. Wow. What a year.
A lot has happened since January of this year started yet a lot of things stayed the same.
That is one of the first big things I have to mention happened to me this year. Twas a tough challenge for every student though, the transition. And for the simple fact that I did survive was a little miracle to be grateful for.
Gue masih pengen punya cowo walopun udah ngga seakut ketika SMA dulu.
Gue jadi suka main pacman sama tetris, mainan yang paling bertahan dari jaman jebot sampe jaman jebot.
Gue masih suka nonton America’s Next Top Model dimana tahun ini kontestan favorit gue menang (finally!) dan jangan lupa Masterchef US.
Entah kenapa Chris Hemsworth kegantengannya meningkat 100% tahun ini, dan entah kenapa suara Sam Smith bagaikan benang emas yang ngga bakal putus. BEEEEH NTAPS.
If I should make a commentary about how 2015 has been, I would say it was okay. It has definitely been a rough year and a lot happened during the hours the sun was awake. It has done me much trouble and adventure I would never imagine would have happened to me if I did not take the path I am taking now. And if you ask me whether I would like to take the year over again from the start, I will definitely say no ‘cuz replaying the whole year means re-living the pain I tried so hard to forget. –red

2015 Movies Recap

HAHAHHA NGGA, BUKAN GITU KOK.
Maksud gue “termehek-mehek” tuh sampe gue terkagum-kagum gitu, loh. Ngga banyak film yang bisa membuat gue terkagum karna emang nonton aja cuman dikit. HAHAHHA suer dah. Liat aja beberapa film yang gue tonton tahun ini: dimulai dengan Blackhat awal Januari lalu, Dragon Blade, Mortdecai, Merry Riana Mimpi Sejuta Dollar, Minions, San Andreas, Maze Runner: Scorch Trials, Insurgent, Comic 8: The Casino Kings, Pixels, FF7, Night At The Museum, American Sniper, Avengers: Age of Ultron, pelem Cina yang dikasi gratis nonton dari kampus, Mockingjay Pt.2, In The Heart Of The Sea, sampai yang baru-baru ini "SINGLE”.
Liat ga perbandingan film Indonesianya ketimbang film luar? IYA. HAHAHHA BEDA JAUH BANGET. I have never been a fan of Indonesian horror movies yang sampe pocong mati terus bangkit lagi lagi juga gue ngga bakal peduli (disclaimer: gue sempet kepengen nonton “Relationshit” yang rilis November kemaren, tapi gue nyesek begitu baca spoilernya soalnya Indonesia banget: cinta segi tiga. Makanya ngga jadi nonton).
Tapi kalo harus dibandingin sama taun lalu, hampir ngga ada film tahun ini yang sampe membekas diingatan gue karna menurut gue agak standar kebanding line-up tahun lalu. But among the movies I watched this year, some has been my favorite while some are not kalo gue liat balik apa aja yang udah gue tonton.
Insurgent gue udah baca bukunya dua kali bahkan sebelum gue nonton filmnya dan jujur ngga se-mengecewakan The Fault In Our Stars. HAHAHA TELL ME IF MY JUDGMENTS ARE CLOUDED ALREADY.
Kedua, Pixels. That movie though, kid: real life dibalut kebegoan editan game life yang epic. Belom pernah gue nemu film se-epic itu walopun banyak green screennya juga deh gue jamin. Adam Sandler almost always did a fine comedy justice.
Ketiga, In The Heart Of The Sea. Chris Hemsworth emang ganteng. Pft. Even though belum pernah baca Moby Dick, I felt so close to the book karna film ini. Heartfelt dan keren.
There were also a few movies yang I wished I could’ve watched this year. Papertowns is amongst those (tapi karna waktu itu rating film ini kurang bagus, gue mengurungkan niat buat nonton). Selain papertowns, I would’ve watch Frankenstein. For the record, gue dari dulu kepengen nonton anything of frankenstein tapi ngga pernah seberani itu entah kenapa. Kingsman, Seventh Son, Inside Out, Jurassic World, The Martian, dan Pan masuk dalam list gue.
Beberapa film lagi seperti Filosofi Kopi, Jupiter Ascending, Tomorrowland, Cinderella, Terminator Genisys, Spectre, dan Ant-Man adalah beberapa film yang gue cukup bersyukur ngga tonton karna beberapa alasan kayak “Jems Bon udah ketuaan jadi ngga selincah dulu”, “ngga riil”, “kurang bagus” dan “illuminati”.
Sekian 2015 movie recap gue. Semoga tahun depan gue ngga membuat pilihan bodoh dengan ngga nonton pelem Daddy Rock dan malah nonton Minions lagi. Oh kecuali KungFu Panda. Gue harus nonton film itu (Po is my byfar my favorite grown-self animation character). –red

What 2015 Has Been Like

2015 has been like a huge mad crap. Yes, it has definitely been. Let me just tell you why.
1.    A lot of artists are not producing their great work this year. Their works are either a last year bomb or a 2016 to-be kind of thing. Not a lot of exciting thing happened in the music industry though Bieber is dealing better with puberty and Taylor Swift still writes songs for her ex-boyfriends. Oh wait – she’s engaged now, isn’t she? Well, no more ex-boyfriend songs, then.
2.    The K-fever is still on, though it is a little bit decreasing since there are no big K-concerts like what 2014 holds.
3.    Youtube is growing bigger than ever – outnumbering television and even the cinema in some cases. And to Indonesian youtubers who have gotten so famous because of their creative works, thankyou for all of those hard work you’ve done. You’re making the first Indonesian YTFF a special memory of it’s own.
4.    Samsung is still head to head with iPhone and they are weirdly exchanging some physical features. Blackberry is dead, Nokia is bought by microsoft, and other brands such as XiaoMi and Asus are rising to make tablets as well.
5.    Mirrorless camera are getting in its way to make sure the big heavy mostly-black cameras are no longer in major demand.
6.    BSD is the new growing independent city around Tangerang, followed by Alam Sutra. A lot of shit has been built around BSD, including the exciting ICE BSD (which have held a huge automobile exhibition last October and few other events) and AEON mall (which is a Japanese-themed mall).
7.    Another act of terrorism killed helluva lot of people at Paris not so long ago. We were about to bomb the terrorism base in whatever non-existing country it has been on. Greece is falling down instead of the London Bridge due to “kebangkrutan” (Dude. Don’t judge me. I do know what “bangkrut” is in english, tapi daripada malu gara-gara salah cara nulisnya dan mager buat buka kamus, yaudahlah ya cincay).
8.    Indonesia elected it’s 6th president this year which thankfully went well. There were a lot of changes in the cabinet and Obama has been a total dick for legalizing the LGBT thing throughout America. He’s losing his mind I swear.
9.    Eversince their marriage winter last year, Raffi and Gigi has been privileged to make a show of their own family life like some American does. But instead of giving a good face to their marriage, this serial makes me want to throw up. It shows how much their family is not actually that happy; everything is too scripted.
10. Japan today is one of the top tourist destinations because of DisneyLand, Sakura, food, and basically everything.
11. The new soft ice cream is also going big this year – especially with all their innovations with their flavor innovations and gulali (dafuq is “gulali” in english).
12. This is the year bicycles and cars go online. Ever heard the grabshit factory in Indonesia? Yes, that’s exactly what I’m talking about. First there’s go-jek, then there’s blu-jek, grabcar, grabtaxi, grabbike and only God knows what else and which one launches its product out first. The bottomline is that Indonesian people are making helluva money from all sorts of internet-based delivery service – even ‘ojek’s by women. Crazy.
13. Health events which holds running activities has gain a lot of participants in the past 2 years, especially when they promise to give rave parties at the end and such other things like I-don’t-know-what because I’m never interested paying for a one-day run.
Yeah. I guess that’s all for now. I’ll be doing some research on what other things I missed writing about that happened this year. I’ll try to update if I am not too lazy to do so. –red
