Kesuksesan

Sebut saja, Karen sahabat saya.
Terima Kasih

The Meaningful Easter

Easter is a wonderful celebration for us as Christians. Well, everything that happens to us must have a meaning for happening and I have 5 meanings for Easter.
For me, Easter means a new life. I get this from the meaning of the word Easter itself that the Lord guides the Israelites to go out from Egypt of long slavery. It means new birth also and going out of your comfort zone and try something new. Because when you go out from becoming a slave into an independent person, you would no longer stand in the shadow of your ruler. You will have to choose things yourself and even more, lead the whole flock to do something good.
I also found Easter as a tradition of sharing happiness. Any celebration we had usually commemorates something good. So Easter must be one of those celebrations too.
Easter can also mean uniting many differences in the world thorough one mission which God gave to His disciples to go and make all nations His disciples (Matthew 28:19). When we pray for people all throughout the world and be friends with them, somehow we could already unite differences and forget about the different races.
Christ’s revival is also a meaning for Easter. Without Christ’s revival after His death on the cross, all of us wouldn’t have the right amount of goodness and sacrifice to pay for our sins completely.
Lastly, Easter means the gift of Holy Ghost. After the celebration, as Christ ascended to heaven, He said that He will give His helper and it is formed as the Holy Ghost. I myself have encountered Holy Ghost. So for me, this is the best meaning of Easter yet.
I believe Easter means something to everybody as well as it means some things to me. So, what does Easter means to you?

My Miracle

I once experience this crazy outcome that turns my whole life around. It was in the middle of my national exams practice when I sat in year 6. I didn’t really remember what test I was taking that day, but I was certainly coming in an uneasy feeling. I am conscious alright, but I can’t focus. My brain doesn’t feel like a brain.
Because it was a national exam practice that I shouldn’t miss, I turn out to school anyway even if I already had a bad morning. At school as I start to take the test, the pencil I’m using can’t make me strong enough to write that morning. After trying and trying several times and hadn’t succeeded writing even my very own name, I go to the teacher supervisor and admit what I felt. My teacher immediately asks me to wait a bit while they called my parents.
After about 10 minutes, my parents came and we went to visit the school nurse. My mom asked me to lead the way, but because my brain wasn’t connecting with my whole body fully, it took us long dreadful minutes just to go from third floor to the first floor. My world has just turn abnormal and I felt bizarre with my whole body. Thank God, I could finally remember the school nurse room to take a rest for a while.
That moment, all that I felt was scared. I was scared that I couldn’t get back like what I was everyday and I couldn’t pass year 6 exams because I don’t know what was happening around me. I fell asleep with that feeling that noon after I went home because I can’t continue the practice test with that illness.
The next day, I woke up like usual again. I really thank God that He had healed me! My parents were so relieved that I was okay and I continue the test that had been delayed the day before. It was a miracle day both for me and my parents. Since then, I never underestimate any power that my God can do to change people and even me.

My New Year Resolutions

For a fifteen year old girl who didn’t understand the word ‘resolutions’, at first I taught it means what lights up when new year came, but I guess that wasn’t it. In the learner dictionary, resolution means a firm decision to do something. So I finally found 5 resolutions for my new year.
Well, I have decided to recommit to God and have more ‘me time’ with God alone. Yes, as I have grown more in my spiritual, and I realize that I need to spend more time with my Creator because He loves it when we have our very own time with God.
Then I also want to take one more step to control my emotions better. Because sometimes when I am tired and my parents or somebody else asks me to do something I will get a bit mad because I want them to always understand me. Now I believe that life wasn’t going to be like that always, so I want to respect older people who ask me to do something by controlling my emotions wisely.
Thirdly, I wanted to learn until my very best in this semester aiming towards the national exams that me and my classmates will face in less than 2 months. I want to give the best score for everybody; God, my parents, myself and my other family members too.
Being a friend to everybody is also one of my resolutions this year because I couldn’t imagine myself being alone with no friend. For me, my friends means a lot since they’re always there to cheer you up, share your happiness and laughter together. My friends are also the ones to boost me to go to school again the next day.
Lastly, I want to keep up my study mood, spirit and also consistency in every aspect during this whole year because I am ready to move to the next level and learn harder than ever. Learning is one of the things that we cannot get enough of until we are old and that is the fact I am holding on to always keep me in shape every time.

My Five Greatest Achievements in 2011

Wow! Another year have just past. I can’t believe my second school semester is starting so fast. As every person will have, I have achievements of my own. But I’d prefer these five best and greatest achievements to remember from my yearly journey, especially in a very interesting year like 2011.
I actually won the second place for news reading contest at one of my school’s event. Well, sadly I couldn’t remember what event that was. Remembering that really good feeling I had as I brought home a trophy was magical. It was the first time I had a ‘real’ trophy for what I fight of my own. It gave me butterflies again when I remembered that time they called my name up to be the second winner.
My second best achievement was in my very own piano grade test. Last December, I had a piano test at my course. I passed with the best score for passing the third grade classical piano test. It was by God’s grace that I could pass with such score because as I enter the execution room, my nerves were all getting unto me and I felt that I could hardly press the piano notes and remember the songs I had memorize weeks before the test. But thank God I passed that test! Now I could smile every time I remembered my fight that evening.
Moving on, my third achievement during 2011 is learning and mastering more than 1 style of swimming. My parents had actually sent me to swimming school since my age of 6 to learn the frog style. But last year, my swimming teacher trust me to master 3 more styles, which are freestyle, backstroke, and butterfly. I am most proud with my butterfly stroke because it’s very rare for a teenager like me to actually master it.  Anyhow, I still need to work on one more style which is called the dolphin style. You’ll understand what dolphin style is when you see me swim sometime.
The honor to sing live at the Tunas Bangsa Serpong’s 10 years anniversary last December was also my achievement. It was really awesome to sing in front of hundreds of people, especially knowing that their kids also perform at the event. I sang for the opening, and it was a blast.
The last and the best achievement I had was my overall spiritual breakthrough throughout the whole year. I started my year (last year) with a tiny faith even if I was grown in a Christian family. But well, year 2011 was a special year indeed. I learnt so many lessons for myself to be my experience in the future. I believe for what I have achieved and learned so far had bring me much confident and much faith to continue 2012 with a new spirit and new vision.
