TRUE COLORS

Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Indigo, and Violet
Can you guess what is formed by those colors? It’s a rainbow, my friend. The colors of the rainbow that I’ve mentioned above have meant so much in our life.
Talking about Rainbows, it reminds me of the covenant that God made with Noah. It’s about the flood God wouldn’t ever let the world drown for a second time. Do you know that Noah was about 600 years old when he was in the 40 days of flood? (Genesis 7:11)  Well, if you know that, maybe you could imagine how God wanted him to build an ark alone for quite a long time at his age of five hundred. Wow, he was a strong man indeed in his old age. But, the flood didn’t only last for 40 days and 40 nights, it says in Genesis 7:24 that the flood went on for 150 days until God remembered Noah and his family.
Why did God choose the rainbow as the sign of His promise? I can only guess. But my answer is as follows: The colors of the rainbow reminded me about the dispersion of white light that we have learned in our science class. Light travels at the speed of 300,000,000 m/s. We’ve learned how to put two prisms together, one up and the other down to prove that white light is made up of seven different “true colors”. We can also use the Newton circle to produce white light. That white light is God, the source of light of the world. We are His dispersed colors. Each of us are made up of different colors. It makes us special. Also, it’s the white light that is dispersed upon us, so that we have His characteristics. As far as the colors themselves, red is for Christ’s blood for us at the cross about 2000 years ago. Orange is for the food that God supplies for us daily without our having to beg for it. Yellow is for the sunshine that continuously shines over our world to light our days. Green is for the plants that grow around us to supply us with oxygen. Blue is for the color of the sky that always surrounds us with white clouds floating around to complete it. Indigo represents all the other colors that are not mentioned  in the rainbow that God also made for this world so our life wouldn’t be dull and violet for the color of the grape or wine representing the things that are so tough for us is an easy miracle for God. Remember when He changed water into wine at a wedding in Canaan? That was one of them.
It shows how we should express ourselves among each other according to what we’re good at and have an impact on others depending on how we do it. For example, if you like to write or do something interesting like that, you can make something from it and share it for our school, since it’s the easiest way to tell others about the things we are good at.
And again, the rapid progress of this 21st century has made it very easy to expand and practice what we’re good at through technology. Like maybe uploading notes on blogs, uploading pictures we’ve taken on Facebook, quotes we’ve experienced through Twitter and other chatting Medias or even videos on YouTube. You can choose many of those various ways that this period has offered us.
Lastly, then rainbow went across the whole sky, from one and to the other. It shows us how we should show our care to our friends wherever we are. At school, at home, in our big family, and everywhere else. By caring for others and looking out for each other, it might bless others and give impressions to them like, “Wow, they are truly Christians. Maybe I should follow their God too!” By that very easy way, we might have got lives to save for Christ.
So guys, it’s basically about school, being the ‘light’, colors of the rainbow, God, expressing ourselves, technology, and yet about friendship.
Remember that rainbows represents all of our life aspects.
            Thank you and God bless
