The Funniest Thing That Ever Happened To Me

For some reasons, people didn’t want remember what was the funniest thing that ever happened to them because it could also be the most embarrassing time of their life. But for some, they would remember it and consider it as the funniest thing that ever happened to them. I am the type of girl who didn’t want to remember those days when something funny happened to me because for some reasons I felt ashamed of myself. But I guess by this only story that I could remember is the funniest thing that ever happened to me.

It was that fine Thursday afternoon when our girls’ soccer team went for the second time to have sparring against another school. Our game started at 3 p.m. at Tunas Bangsa field downstairs that evening and would be followed by the boys’ ball game. Since the start, we had lead the game with the score of 5 to 1. So there’s the possibility for us to win. Everybody is quite convinced with that score.

Now, that funniest thing of mine started here. It’s my turn to play for a few minutes in the game. I felt so excited because it was my first time to compete against other school. So, as every-most of my friends knew that I couldn’t stand chances to play, I tripped over before I could kick a ball and fell. Almost everybody who noticed me falling laughed so hard. I somehow think that was funny, but at the same time I felt ashamed over me for not playing my best for the school.

Finally the girls won that day’s game at the score of 11 over 1 (if I am not mistaken). Sadly, even though we played in ‘our own house’, the boys lost. However, at least we won the game to make our school proud.

Times after that first game I had, I learnt to see the past and I realized how I am being so careless when I played on the field. Now, most of my feeling when I remembered that moment is funny and I wanted to be better at it when we have another game next time. I believe I will play better and let the past be my experience for my future.
