What does Christmas mean to me

I’ve been through 14 Christmases in my life and this year will be my fifteenth. The first Christmas I had was when my age wasn’t even a month old and I never knew what does Christmas mean to me when I was a baby. People around me say that Christmas have various ways to be celebrated, believed and meant. They somehow believe in what the world has offered them to believe.
Like, for example Santa claus and his 12 reindeers, thank God my family members helped me to believe that santa is just a fat guy using a costume which represents happiness and have to suffer a tummy ache because of going people’s chimney all over the time with an issue of his fat belly and obviously a white beard that have never been shaved. I have to agree that Christmas is about happiness, but it wasn’t just about happiness; as much as it is like your birthday. There is something else which people often miss.
Christmas has its own way for every of us to choose to celebrate.
During the past few years, I have had reviews around Christmas and found this old writing of mine in my old diary book. That writing was hand written about 6 years ago and I was quite shocked when I read it all over again because it assures me of how I ‘found’ Christmas at such a young age. I wrote: “I’ve finally understood Christmas and why was it called so. Baby Jesus was born that night and everybody in the manger was happy. So Christmas IS about sharing happiness and love to those around us. Doesn’t have to be fancy, but as long as Christ’s love is there, anytime during the year can be called Christmas because every day is Christmas as long as you share love”
It’s unbelievable to me now that I’ve actually written that phrase down once but it is the truth. One time you found Christmas, the other time you won’t lose it again.
The world has offered a very different meaning for the whole Christmas thingy. Well, it’s not far from our eyes. Christmas is a holiday, and I didn’t deny that option. Christmas is about shopping sale stuff, no, I didn’t deny that either. But what about the essence? I wonder if Jesus had to shop at supermall or something literally after He was born at that century. There also have been a lot of different stories about how and when Jesus were born, but the same thing is that they all never mention specifically what date was Christ was born. That was easy to detect.
Once again, as Christians we shall never lose that Christmas meaning. Even if it’s just an ordinary day, just like 11.11.11 or 11:11 at 11.11.11, or whatever date that was. Christmas is supposed to be special because of there is a peace and happiness and love that Christ has offered to every of each of our hearts.
Thank you
