For a fifteen year old girl who didn’t understand the word ‘resolutions’, at first I taught it means what lights up when new year came, but I guess that wasn’t it. In the learner dictionary, resolution means a firm decision to do something. So I finally found 5 resolutions for my new year.
Well, I have decided to recommit to God and have more ‘me time’ with God alone. Yes, as I have grown more in my spiritual, and I realize that I need to spend more time with my Creator because He loves it when we have our very own time with God.
Then I also want to take one more step to control my emotions better. Because sometimes when I am tired and my parents or somebody else asks me to do something I will get a bit mad because I want them to always understand me. Now I believe that life wasn’t going to be like that always, so I want to respect older people who ask me to do something by controlling my emotions wisely.
Thirdly, I wanted to learn until my very best in this semester aiming towards the national exams that me and my classmates will face in less than 2 months. I want to give the best score for everybody; God, my parents, myself and my other family members too.
Being a friend to everybody is also one of my resolutions this year because I couldn’t imagine myself being alone with no friend. For me, my friends means a lot since they’re always there to cheer you up, share your happiness and laughter together. My friends are also the ones to boost me to go to school again the next day.
Lastly, I want to keep up my study mood, spirit and also consistency in every aspect during this whole year because I am ready to move to the next level and learn harder than ever. Learning is one of the things that we cannot get enough of until we are old and that is the fact I am holding on to always keep me in shape every time.
